At Nedap in Retail you’ll work with global brands and retailers like Hugo Boss, lululemon, Scalpers, G‑Star RAW, Under Armour, and River Island. If you love developing complex mobile applications and enjoy leading and growing a team, then this role is perfect for you.

Store employees spend a lot of their time searching for products and managing stock. Our iD Cloud platform and RFID technology for article security and in‑store inventory management make it easy to monitor and control all processes in the store in real time. Employees no longer have to waste time looking for items and can focus on what really matters: helping customers and creating great shopping experiences.

What are you going to do?

As Team Lead Mobile Development, you will actively shape the direction of our mobile products. From day one, you will be responsible for a variety of projects: defining architecture, guiding the development of new features and validating solutions together with our customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Team leadership & direction: You lead a mobile development team and provide direction, structure and a healthy team dynamic. You translate strategic goals into concrete plans, set priorities and monitor progress.
  • Technical choices & vision: You actively contribute to decisions around architecture, technology choices and the long‑term vision for our mobile apps. You help the team apply modern technologies in a pragmatic way.
  • Quality & process improvement: You are responsible for processes within the mobile domain and you initiate improvements that impact other teams and platforms. You contribute to setting up and implementing end‑to‑end improvement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder management: You work closely with Product Management, UX, backend and other teams. You align expectations, guard priorities and ensure that the impact of mobile developments is understood across the organisation.

Your team

As Team Lead Mobile Development you are part of an international and passionate team of Android and iOS developers. This mobile team is responsible for building all mobile applications within Retail. Your role is both technical and people‑oriented: you coach developers, work closely with other team leads and contribute to the broader strategy and innovation power of mobile development within Nedap. The main language in the team is English, and you will work with product teams and other disciplines across the organisation.

Our offer

The salary range for this role is between € 4.500 and € 6.000 gross per month based on full‑time employment (38 hours) and depends on relevant knowledge and experience. Required experience and skills

You have a passion for both people and technology. You are entrepreneurial and pragmatic, and you know how to turn ideas into real results. You communicate clearly with stakeholders and feel comfortable in an environment with both on‑site and remote colleagues. You help your team make well‑considered decisions and deliver high‑quality outcomes together.

You recognise yourself in the following:

  • Mobile Development experience: You have substantial experience in mobile development as both a developer and a team lead, in either Android or iOS (or both).
  • Leadership experience: You have experience coaching and developing engineers and enjoy helping people grow.
  • Stakeholder management: You can guide teams and collaborate effectively with other disciplines (Product, UX, backend, operations, etc.).
  • Technical knowledge: You are familiar with Kotlin and other modern libraries, and you can work with both Android and iOS ecosystems.
  • Technical curiosity: You follow developments such as Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Multiplatform and modern architectures, and can translate them into practical choices for your team.
  • Language skills: You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Good to know:

  • You are available for 32‑38 hours. Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap and together with your team you will arrange your own working hours for a good work‑life balance. You are present at our campus in Groenlo at least three times a week.
