Email Marketing Specialist
Are you commercially driven and energized by designing, building, and optimizing impactful email campaigns? Do you have a sharp eye for both data and creativity, and do you thrive in a dynamic, international environment? Then the world is at your feet as an Email Marketing Specialist within KLM Digital Marketing. In this role, you are responsible for KLM’s campaign emails across all global markets. You will work on campaigns that reach millions of customers and make a direct contribution to traffic, revenue, upsell, loyalty, and customer retention.
What will you do?
As an Email Marketing Specialist, you are responsible for newsletters and email campaigns. You know how to surprise, inspire, and activate customers, translating commercial objectives into smart, effective, and scalable email solutions. You will work on campaigns such as the Real Deal Days and Go to Know deals and continuously develop new propositions to improve performance.
You will:
- translate commercial and communication objectives into effective, high-converting email campaigns;
- make smart use of data, personalization, and marketing automation;
- conduct A/B testing and develop a structured testing roadmap;
- analyze results and make data-driven decisions and recommendations;
- lead implementations of new features and propositions from concept to go-live;
- work closely with internal teams (including campaign managers, the CRM Hub, and Air France colleagues) and external partners;
- ensure all email activities comply with privacy regulations (GDPR).
Where do you land?
You will work from KLM’s head office within the Digital Marketing department: a young, innovative, and ambitious department where marketing, technology, and data come together. The department consists of three agile teams working closely together: Concept & Campaign Marketing, Performance Marketing, and Owned Channels & Partnerships. You will be part of the Owned Channels & Partnerships team, which is responsible for lifecycle marketing, campaign marketing, conversational services, and partner channels. Within the team, you will collaborate with other email marketing specialists, each managing their own campaign scope. There is plenty of room for initiative, innovation, collaboration, and fun.
Your profile
You are commercial, structured, creative, and results-oriented. You maintain oversight in a complex environment, communicate easily with various stakeholders, and take ownership of your work. You combine commercial insight with a strong customer focus and are confident in making data-driven decisions.
Additionally, you have:
- a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably in Marketing, Digital, or Communication);
- 1–3 years of experience in email marketing or CRM;
- experience with project-based work and stakeholder management;
- a data- and performance-driven mindset;
- affinity with marketing automation, personalization, and technology;
- strong communication skills and a proactive attitude;
- excellent command of the English language (Dutch is a plus);
- attention to detail and a strong sense for commercial opportunities.
