Job Summary:

As part of the AI and Automation team, the Gen AI Python Developer will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining artificial intelligence tools that will assist with Cognizant Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) service operations.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement AI applications and tools to automate and streamline RCM processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems
• Deploy and maintain production-grade AI tools ensuring high performance and scalability
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies

Education:

Currently enrolled in a university studying Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field: A strong educational background to support technical expertise.

Required Experience:

• At least 1-2 years of experience in software development with a strong proficiency in Python programming
• Prior experience in AI, with a minimum of 1 year focused specifically on Generative AI
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience interfacing with and leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience with one or more Azure OpenAI models, Google Gemini model variants, Langchain, or similar application development libraries
• General understanding of Generative AI models, concepts, capabilities, and usage patterns, including retrieval augmented generation, chunking, finetuning, and agentic frameworks

Desired Experience:

• Healthcare provider experience is a plus
• Azure experience is a plus

Behavioral Competencies:

• Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.
• Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Competencies:

Python, LangChain, LangGraph, Github, Azure

Salary and Other Compensation:

This is a part time position with 30 hours per week.

The hourly rate for this position will be in the range of $35/hour- $38/hour depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
