Graphic | industrial design internship: documenting user journeys

Introduction

We are looking for an intern to join the UX competency to help in improving our tools and standards with regards to Customer and User Centered (C/UX) way of working. The internship job will be seated in the User Insights team which is tasked with providing customer and user insights to projects.

Your assignment

During the internship you will collaborate with the User Insights team in documenting the user journeys of our products into a clear, standardized and visually appealing format. Your responsibility is to make sure that your user journeys serve as:

• A standard way for capturing and visualizing our user insights.
• A guideline for clearly communicating user insights to the projects.
• An inspiring storytelling tool for triggering our business to take action.

Your profile

To be a great match for this internship you:

• Are a master student in Industrial design, graphic design or any UX related field looking for a graduation or apprentice internship.
• Are creative, passionate for storytelling, and have a keen eye -and ear- for details.
• Are good at expressing yourself through visuals, drawings and graphics.
• You are motivated to help us improve the adoption of Customer and User Centered design way of working in ASML.
• Are empathic and have strong communication skills and are fluent in English (verbal and written).

This is a master graduation/apprentice internship for a minimum of 6 months, for 4 to 5 days per week (at least 3 days onsite). The start date of this internship is September 2025.

Other requirements you need to meet

• You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
• You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate;
• If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
