Functional Application Manager Physical Security

Introduction to the job

As Functional Application Manager for Physical Security, you will be responsible for the functional ownership, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of the Genetec platform within ASML’s global security landscape. You will ensure the platform supports operational excellence, compliance, and innovation in physical security, while aligning with the broader Security Technology strategy.

Role and responsibilities

In this position, you will own the functional roadmap for Genetec, ensuring alignment with business needs, compliance requirements, and platform scalability. You will act as the primary liaison between Security Operations, IT, Engineering, and external vendors to translate business needs into functional requirements.

You will coordinate and validate functional changes, upgrades and releases in collaboration with technical teams and key users and provide trainings. You will also provide Tier-2 functional support, analyze recurring issues, and drive root cause analysis and resolution in collaboration with IT, platform engineers and vendors.

Other key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure data integrity across the Genetec platform and support reporting needs for audits, compliance, and operational KPIs.
• Ensure the platform adheres to internal security policies and external regulatory requirements, including GDPR and physical access control standards.
• Identify and implement functional enhancements to improve user experience, automation, and integration with other security and enterprise systems.

Education and experience

A background in Information Security as well as experience in a client service role in the IT domain, preferably in an enterprise environment is a must in this role. The ideal candidate will also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Security Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in functional application management, preferably in physical security or access control domains.
• Hands-on experience with Genetec Security Center or similar platforms in large enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Card Management systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of physical security processes and compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English.
