About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated discipline and people manager to lead one of our engineering delivery teams. In this role you will lead a team of around 15 Work Package Managers (WPMs), across the Netherlands, Portugal and Romania. With your experience and knowledge, you are able to work closely with your team to secure our objectives, in a predictable way.

We rely on you to fully embed the engineering delivery way of working across your team. With drive and energy, you will ensure that the principles of work package management are fully integrated and that the engineering delivery discipline stands like a house so we can lift our performance to the next level.

In our international context, you are a connecting colleague who collaborates across borders, bringing energy and unity to the team.

You will be part of the Mission Systems segment and report to the Head of Engineering Delivery (HoED). You will support the HoED in implementing and executing the engineering policy, be involved during project bids, launches and project reviews, and help define, roll out and enforce tools, processes and practices across the various segments.

About you

• You are a seasoned people manager, with a strong background in engineering project management, and a passion for people and organizational growth.
• You are comfortable in both strategic and operational domains, with a hands‑on mindset when necessary.
• You understand engineering project management principles deeply and can lead through influence as well as structure.
• You are a team player with strong dedication to achieve common team goals.
• You have good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail at different levels.
• You have a “can‑do” and “why‑not‑this” mentality: entrepreneurial, flexible and open mindset.
• You have a relevant degree in electronics engineering, science, mathematics or related subjects.
• Experience and a good understanding in Project Management and the Process.
• Experience in people management, team management and understanding the challenges of a team of specialists.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills towards stakeholders.
• Willingness to challenge and eager to be challenged.
