The function

As a Reporting and Consolidation specialist, you will combine strategic insight with hands‑on approach to implement improvements that further strengthen our organisation.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Preparing the monthly and quarterly results, including variance analyses and disclosures, in close cooperation with the financial controllers.
• Monitoring and optimising the organisational structure in Synergy and ensuring the correct set‑up of EBN's control framework (e.g. chart of accounts and project administration).
• Auditing and reporting the output of G/L Accountants and ensuring consistent and complete balance sheet and results analysis of EBN and its associates.
• Managing the asset module, determining depreciation assumptions for our oil and gas assets and being responsible for the financial movements in the provision for clean‑up costs, ensuring calculation, reconciliation and coordination with various stakeholders.
• Contributing to the preparation of the financial statements and the half‑yearly report.

Your team

As a Reporting and Consolidation specialist, you are part of the Accounting & Reporting department (15 colleagues) and report directly to the manager/corporate controller. Within the Accounting & Reporting team, you work closely with the accountants and financial controllers. You enjoy working in a constantly changing environment where you actively contribute to making the Netherlands more sustainable. You pick up matters yourself, but also know when to involve others.

We ask

• HBO/WO working and thinking level, preferably in a financial‑economic field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, e.g. in financial reporting, controlling or auditing.
• Strong accounting skills, you are the conscience of the team.
• Good command of Exact globe and consolidation software.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to interpret and report complex financial data clearly.
• Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
