Backend Java Developer

What We’re Looking For

• Backend Development: Strong experience as a Java Software Developer, working with Java 16+ versions, JUnit, and Hibernate.
• Microservices Architecture: Proven proficiency in designing and developing microservices-based systems.
• Database Expertise: Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, including both SQL and NoSQL capabilities.
• Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly S3 for cloud storage.
• Build & Automation: Proficient in using Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, Architects, and cross-functional development teams.
• Technical Breadth: Exposure to a wide range of technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
• Language Skills:
  • English: Fluent (C1 level) – written and spoken
  • Polish: Communicative (B2 level) – written and spoken

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Industry Experience: Background in the retail industry is a plus.
• Architectural Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)
  • Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Vendor Management: Experience in managing external vendors or third-party integrations.
• Additional Programming Skills:
  • Experience with TypeScript, Python, or JavaScript/Node.js in AWS Lambda environments
  • Proficiency in Python for serverless applications on AWS Lambda
  • Knowledge of Kotlin for backend application development
• API Documentation: Familiarity with OpenAPI (Swagger) for documenting RESTful APIs
