Development and Experimental Verification of a Simulink Control Model for an Ink Supply Subsystem
Are you ready to apply your technical knowledge in an internship to develop a crucial model system that elevates print quality to the next level? Do you want to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary R&D environment during your internship where your independence and creativity can truly shine?
Your assignment
Challenge:
During your internship, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive MATLAB Simulink/Simscape model for the control system of our ink supply subsystem. This model will be integral for optimizing product and control parameters and enhancing hardware selection. You will not only develop the model but also verify it through experimental setups.
Objectives:
- Create a Simulink or Simscape model of the control system.
- Verify the model using/extending an existing setup.
- Test the model in a real-life environment.
- Extend the model for future product iterations.
Your profile
You will be working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary project environment where independence and proactivity are highly valued. This 3-month internship is a great opportunity for you to experience working in a large Research and Development environment. You'll have the chance to demonstrate your ability to work independently while receiving support when needed, ensuring a balance between autonomy and collaboration.
- Educational Background: Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics, with experience in Systems and Control Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Matlab or similar modeling tools; understanding of flow dynamics.
- Personal Attributes: Independent, sociable, and a team player who is comfortable working hands-on with equipment.

Canon staat bekend als een bedrijf met veel focus op lange termijn ontwikkeling. Starters kunnen doorgroeien naar: Senior functies binnen hun afdeling (bijv. senior engineer, lead designer). Specialistische rollen (zoals R&D expert, system architect). Managementrollen, afhankelijk van ambitie en profiel. Internationale functies, via Canon's wereldwijde netwerk. Een traineeship kan ook een opstap zijn naar strategische posities binnen het bedrijf.
Canon biedt starters: Een persoonlijk ontwikkelplan (POP). Interne trainingen en online leerplatformen. Begeleiding van een mentor of buddy. Soft skill development (communicatie, leiderschap, time management). Technische opleidingen voor je vakgebied. Daarnaast is er ruimte om je verder te ontwikkelen in innovatieve projecten binnen een hightech omgeving.
Hoewel exacte cijfers ontbreken, ligt het startsalaris bij Canon Production Printing doorgaans in de bandbreedte van: €2.800 tot €3.200 bruto per maand voor hbo/wo starters. Daarbij komen vaak secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden zoals: 13e maand, reiskostenvergoeding, pensioenregeling, mogelijk winstdeling of bonus. Salarisgroei hangt samen met je prestaties, doorgroei naar een volgende functie, en cao-afspraken.
