Bsc: Internship Science/Physics/Engineering/Communications

Are you a HBO science/physics/communications student which is looking for an internship assignment? Are you ready for the challenge to improve our intake procedure related to printhead returns? We are looking for you!

Your assignment

When we receive Printhead field returns at CPP, we have to investigate the root cause of the problem. This requires gathering data from the printhead and doing root cause analysis inhouse or in collaboration with our R&D colleagues or analytical department. The way of working has to be upgraded into a more efficient procedure, where the first challenge is to create an error book in which alle currently available documentation is gathered into one ‘easy to use’ document. Think of using visuals, artificial intelligence or other tools to make the start of the root cause finding easier. The second challenge is to find the root cause for the errors not included in the current documentation.

Your profile

You are eager to dive into detailed information with a drive to use your creativity to improve the current complaint handling process inside the printhead factory.

You are currently studying on HBO level in the field of:

Technical field:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Applied Physics
• Mechatronics
• Data Science / Artificial Intelligence (especially for building a smart, visual errorbook)
• Automation

Process & Quality:

• Quality Management
• Industrial Engineering

Communication:

• Communication (with interest in technical documentation and cross-department collaboration)

Technical background is a plus, but communication skills are at least as important. You enjoy finding the cause of problems together with other departments, also outside your own team. The assignment will start in September 2026 and take 3-5 months and requires you to be in Venlo at the CPP site (5 days a week).
