On Friday, May 22, 2026, Oceanco, Alewijnse and other co-makers will host Oceanco Career Day at its facilities in Alblasserdam. For the occasion of World Boating Day, the event is open to students, professionals and anyone curious about a future in yacht building and the maritime sector.

Through three main experiences, visitors will be able to explore how an Oceanco yacht comes to life, meet the people behind the process and discover a range of career paths across the industry:

The Story of a Build: An interactive experience that takes visitors through the full journey of an Oceanco yacht, from first contact to delivery. Across a series of immersive installations, each phase of the build process will be brought to life through features such as a VR tour and live 3D printing.

The Co-maker Community: Visitors will be able to connect directly with Oceanco and its partner companies in a dedicated meet-and-greet space. Here, representatives will be on hand to discuss opportunities within yacht building and the wider maritime industry.

The Forum: A series of expert talks and panel discussions featuring speakers from across the industry. These sessions offer insight into different career paths and the experience of working in a highly collaborative and technical environment.
