KPMG
Supervisors Accounting Advisory Services
Summary
The Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) unit is an independent unit within Audit Corporate Clients that works closely with the IPO unit and the US Accounting and Reporting Group. In addition, we work together with Department of Professional Practice (DPP), Transaction Services and the Valuations Group within Corporate Finance.
The function
Recently, AAS became a member of the Audit practice, in part because of the mandatory firm rotation, due to the Plasterk regulations, which provides us great opportunities to: successfully convert the relationships with current audit clients to advisory relationships; and strengthen our current advisory client relationships or convert them to a future audit role.
AAS provides a wonderful opportunity for colleagues with a few years of audit experience who wish to further develop their consulting skills and customer relationships with a focus on accounting issues.
AAS advises clients on the interface of accounting and advisory services, mostly related to new standards, conversions, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions. The activities range from assistance with complex accounting issues and their implementation, analysis of differences in accounting principles and disclosure requirements, leading conversion projects, working on acquisitions and carve-outs, drafting accounting manuals and temporary support to our clients financial departments. We often work in close collaboration with specialists from DPP, valuation experts from Corporate Finance and due diligence teams from Transaction Services. In addition, we work together with teams from Management Consulting in multi-disciplinary financial transformation projects.
In connection with the planned growth of our unit we are looking for Supervisors and Assistant Managers to join our team.
KPMG’s Corporate Clients unit focuses on large customers primarily within the information, communication, technology, and consumer and industrial markets. In addition, we continue to increase our AAS contracts in the health and public sector.
