Job Purpose
The chain business is about 35 % of the UFS turnover. The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing the large chain key accounts such as Sodexo and Compass proactively. This is a senior Key Account Manager’s position within the Dutch Chains operation of a successful foodservice company that is keen to take their Key Accounts to the next level. It is a challenging role for a driven, entrepreneurial sales professional in the foodservice market who is eager to make an impact on the position of our chain business.
What will your main responsibilities be?
Ensure achievement of all agreed targets and continuously assess progress against these targets, recommending corrective action as necessary. To include:
- Volume and Turnover
- Focus on intro of Top 10 and customer relevant categories and tender business
- Focus on FOH concepts and customer activations
- Monitor superior execution of plans and take fast corrective actions if needed
Develop, agree and execute joint business or customer business plans for business development at designated Key Accounts. Develop, build and review sales performance regularly with all stakeholders.
Work together with peers in Sales & Marketing, for the benefit of the full MCO UFS team.
Ensure chain-account investments (TMI), indirect budgets and accrual reservations are utilized efficiently, within thrust and account goals and strategy, and with no unauthorized overrun.
Participate actively in the Chains team and report Account performance fully on a monthly basis.
Take an active role in the preparation of any major tender or pitch response as required.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Sales (Sales Manager, Key Account Manager, Field Sales Manager) in a leading foodservice company in the Dutch market or alternatively in a client company.
- The ideal candidate must have proven experience of working effectively in a process-driven environment and being at ease with operating on an international platform.
