The vacancy
The core of the job lies in providing advice and support to an international team of managers and employees and in rolling out and embedding strategic (and corporate) HR themes, processes and instruments in this relatively new business unit. This applies mainly to departments at head office (NL) and some corporate policies are processed abroad. As a Senior HR Adviser you act as a full business partner.
The challenge
HR International is a relatively new department comprising a new, compact and dedicated team (2 Senior HR Advisers and a HR administrative support headed by a HR Manager). Our internal and external customers (and colleagues) vary widely; they work in various countries and locations, have their own local HR representatives, come from different cultural backgrounds, use different HR and other processes, do not all speak Dutch and work in different types of organisations in the Netherlands and abroad (operational and commercial).
It will be your challenge to be able to switch between the dynamics of the different business units and understand them, as well as be able to translate PostNL policy into local policy if necessary. This means that you must be capable of translating the range of instruments and processes from the PostNL organisation to the local domestic and foreign situation. On the one hand this requires the mental capacity to develop and adapt and, the other, to implement a pragmatic approach.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Partner in business, pro-active advice with a view to achieving the departments’ KPIs;
- To support management in issues relating to mobility, recruitment, selection & introduction, talent review and resource committees, training courses, conditions of employment and absence due to illness;
- To support management in the “Collaboration” aspect of corporate culture (countries, departments, head office);
- Performance Management (including further expansion of SuccessFactors);
- Support in changes to the organisational structure (request for advice process in conjunction with the works council)
Jouw profiel
- Knowledge of HR management at Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level;
- At least three years’ experience in a similar job;
- Experience of change processes and reorganisations;
- Experience of advising management on HR issues;
- Knowledge of conditions of employment and regulations, HR instruments, the job market, social legislation and organisation structure;
- Competencies: able to connect, achieve things, solve problems, create a sense of trust, entrepreneurial, analytical, tolerant of stress and flexible;
- Excellent command of oral and written Dutch and English.

- Salary ranging from EUR 3.110,- to EUR 4.290,- based on a fulltime position (37 hrs);
- Full-time (32 hrs is negotiable);
- Flexibility in working hours and the location at which you work (Wireless Office);

- Location: The Hague and Hoofddorp.
