The Commercialisation Project manager is responsible for the project management and flawless execution of innovation projects across an allocated portfolio of brands (including: NPD, Pack Price and Account Exclusive programs). The scope is covering several categories (Snacks & Beverages) as well as both local and ESSA initiated projects.
The result is achieved through working in partnership with ESSA stakeholders, key commercial and operational disciplines and leadership of the change management process, including preparation, input and follow-up with the Activation Board.

Main tasks are

  • Responsible for the preparation and flawless execution of projects, by steering the prime movers and project team on general project approach, critical path and timings
  • Chair multidisciplinary project meetings to align project scope decisions between relevant stakeholders and follow up execution
  • Actively team up with Category Commercialisation for ESSA lead innovations to ensure proper BU infeed and secure handover prior execution;
  • Primary contact between Commercial team and Supply chain, Purchasing and other central functions, for your projects
  • Drive issue resolution together with Prime Mover to ensure all key milestones are delivered against and overall project risk is reduced
  • Prepare and facilitate monthly decision cycle (Gate's)
  • Effectively manage projects through the Stage Gate process using Accolade software ensuring full compliance to Swissco process

Qualifications/Requirements

Project Management skills

  • Manage the cross-functional team to deliver against the agreed milestones, clearly communicating expectations and deadlines for deliverables
  • Proactively assess and manage risk including understanding and challenging assumptions to ensure project remains robust at all times
  • Capability to oversee complex situations and act from a neutral, non-biased positioning to balance between stakeholder priorities

Professional Experience

  • Good basic knowledge of all related cross functional areas in innovation and product change projects: finance, operations, R&D, marketing and sales
  • Needs to be fluent in English to participate in international contacts

Interpersonal skills

  • Service minded / accurate / self-starting / can do mentality
  • Communication skills and business maturity to act with afore mentioned groups which can reach to senior levels on daily contact and periodic meetings
  • Strong team player with collaborative skills who can effectively manage cross functional teams and influence people.
