Category Manager Savoury - Sales
Main purpose
The Category Manager acts as an internal advisor and decision driver by turning category expertise into recommendations for the development of a specific category/brand. Sparring partner for the Senior Category Manager and Trade Manager Savoury on categories
Category/brand shopper insights
* Advises and make recommendations based on shopper insights derived from analysis of different sources (e.g retailer trends, shopper and consumer trends, Nielsen, GFK)
* Determines the relevant research question based on the connection of category/consumer insights , initiates further research
* Leverage core insights and translate these into specific category strategies and executes to maximise presence on shelf (e.g. improving assortment, shelf presentation) and optimize promotional effectiveness.
* Recognizes fundamental Shopper Behaviours across the shopper journey (pre-shop, shop, post-shop) and delivers actionable insights (connecting Consumer, Shopper and Customer) on how these translate for Pepsico categories/brands to Shopper Marketing.
* Act as the knowledge centre of a specific category. In addition, he/she integrates economic, competitor, market and industry data and identifies critical business trends for his/her categories.
* The Category Manager participates in multidisciplinary Brand teams (Duyvis/Smiths/Doritos): detects issues, gives meaningful insights and advice, supports development of relevant NPD's
* Co-leads the business' strategic planning process by providing relevant customer insights.
* Consults with the (Sr) Category Customer Manager and/or Category Group Manager on above topics.
Brand Teams Duyvis/Smiths/Doritos
* BA pref. MA degree
* 3+ years of experience with category management, preferably in a multinational/FMCG setting
* Preferably fulltime available
