The job

Our Hardware Sales team lead an important piece of Google’s mission. It is tasked to manage all of the hardware devices through which our consumers experience our services. This team oversees the commercial aspects of all products made by Google (e.g. Chromecast, etc.) all products made with Google (i.e: Nexus, Chromebooks, etc.) and all of the products made using Google (e.g. Android, Wear, etc).

Based in the Netherlands, you will be responsible for developing relationships with carrier partners across the Netherlands that distribute hardware built using our Android and Chrome platforms, and enhance the proposition around those products and platforms including driving business growth through Direct Carrier Billing on Android devices.

You'll be the primary partner contact, driving the implementation and optimization of our collaboration and driving tactics designed to improve the usage and distribution of Google’s hardware, platforms, applications and ecosystem services, including the Play Store. You will have a strong understanding of Android, Chrome OS, and related hardware in addition to Google’s ecosystem of applications and services such as Play, Search, and other Apps. You'll track and analyze key metrics, proactively resolve business and technical issues with our partners and identify new partnership opportunities. Some of the attributes you'll bring to this job include ability to operate at C-level, strong attention to detail, outstanding communication and negotiation skills and a collegial personality.

This is a cross-functional role: you will be working closely with Marketing, Operations, Product Management/Engineering, Sales and PR teams in country as well as across the region and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of our hardware products and business growth from Google’s ecosystem services such as the Play Store and Direct Carrier Billing, and use of promotional budgets to ensure targets are being met and exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the regional hardware and mobile telecoms markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and International teams globally to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis and develop and communicate final recommendations.
  • Forecast and report key metrics, track actual progress toward forecasts, drive and evaluate ROI of promotional and new business opportunities and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of business issues with partners.
  • Work with our Legal team to negotiate and execute complex agreements with key partners.

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Related sales management, business development or partner management experience in an Internet, software platform or consumer electronics company.
  • Experience in the mobile telecoms industry.

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrable project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive projects.
  • Sharp analytical and detail-oriented skill with ability to clarify and summarize complex issues.
  • Superb communication skills, with the ability to comfortably interact with our partner's and Google's executive management.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Dutch fluently and idiomatically.
