Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Google’s Channel Sales team works with Premier Small- and Medium-sized Business (SMB) Partners to set up and develop a scalable, profitable and sustainable model for supporting SMBs in fully benefitting from Google's online advertising products. Our partners typically have large customer base, considerable sales force, product portfolio congruent with online advertising products and employ automated platform-based approach to AdWords account setup and management.

Strategic Partner Developers serve as our expert consultants to build new businesses for our partners. Your expertise of online marketing products and our partners' businesses allow you to identify new opportunities for their growth, launch new products, and expand the impact of our clients' work. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to work effectively with Google's partners, in order to best represent our users, products and programs and drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and structure significant and complex relationships and partnerships to increase penetration of Google advertising services among local businesses.
  • Develop a strong understanding of local and small business marketing and of key industries such as local publishing, SEO/SEM, local ads platforms, website design platforms and e-commerce platforms.
  • Maintain control of the pipeline of potential Premier SMB Partners in the Netherlands and Belgium. Manage strategic planning and development for assigned verticals across EMEA in coordination with Benelux and Nordics Channel Sales lead.
  • Engage and manage relationships with internal stakeholders at Google including country leadership for the Benelux market and operational teams across sales, marketing, customer service and supporting functions (e.g., finance, legal, compliance).
  • Oversee agreement profitability analysis, define partnership scope and lead cross-functional agreement teams to bring the partnership to fruition.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in business development. Experience developing new business streams, leading agreement negotiations.
  • Experience achieving targets and launching new partnerships.

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to think strategically about complex issues and develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously.
  • Online literacy, developed in the advertising, publishing or services sector.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative organizational skills as well as a demonstrated capability of handling multiple ad hoc requests.
  • Fluency in Dutch and/or French.
