Description

As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

In this role, you will lead programs and campaigns with other Googlers to drive forward our key brand values, messages and initiatives. You are a strategic leader who possess the ability to work locally, regionally and internationally as well as collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders. You work through effective relationship building, influence, and communication skills. You demonstrate strong analytical thinking through data-driven decisions, technical know-how and charisma. You also prove your ability to provide leadership with your team to make big things happen, that really make a difference and has a substantial positive impact.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the Product and the Brand. Own the insight, product and competitive knowledge and brand positioning.
  • Develop programs and campaigns based on local insights to positively impact the market and strengthen our brand.
  • Identify partners and build collaborations to reach new audiences with our messages and initiatives.
  • Work cross functionally with a number of organisations from PR, Policy, Sales, Legal, Product, and Engineering teams to obtain buy-in and alignment on core goals and objectives.
  • Measure: track success of all efforts through both internal and external measurement tools.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Related work experience.
  • MBA.
  • Experience and confidence in managing external relationships and bringing brands together in a strategic and effective way.
  • A highly entrepreneurial mindset: this role will require a unique level of problem solving and acting like an entrepreneur.
  • Ability to juggle and track multiple teams, projects and stakeholders in very fast moving environment.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and strong organizational and analytical skills.
