Description
Test Automation Software Engineer at Flow Traders is designing, developing and maintaining a platform for automated tests of the software components produced by the company's software development department. You will be a member of a group of experienced engineers in the Development Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the development teams to understand the company's application landscape (mostly server-side components). Gain detailed understanding of the applications in the landscape
- Design, develop and maintain the automated functional and integration tests for these applications. The tests are compatible with the company's continuous integration and test platforms. Troubleshoot and debug automation failures, take ownership in maintaining of the test platform
- Provide input for continuous improvements of the company's test processes and test platform
Requirements
- University degree
- Working knowledge of QA methodologies, testing techniques and approaches. Experienced in the software test automation. Strong understanding of BDD / TDD
- Understanding of continuous integration and its role in SDLC
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, shell), experienced with relational databases and test automation tools. Experience in core Java and C++ is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail. Passion for testing.
