The department: Category Development Management
CCE invested a lot in the last years in Category Management and we still have the ambition to further develop the department. Category Management operates as an independent and proactive discipline within CCE and it is a customer oriented department seen as a valuable counterpart with a deep knowledge and expertise in soft drinks category.
The department is managed by the Associate Director Category Management and consists of 9 people split in Home and Out of Home channel teams (3 Senior Managers, 5 Managers and 1 Professional).
As Senior Category Development Manager in Wholesale channel, you are responsible for couple of strategic direct customers who deliver to indirect customers in the On the Go, Horeca/Leisure and Institutional channel. In this position you are the owner of the category vision and you are responsible to identify joint growth opportunities in the Wholesale channel. With your strong personality, you will convince internal stakeholders and customers to implement the category vision.
You will work in multidisciplinary customer teams (Account Management, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Revenue Growth Management and Digital) to incorporate the growth opportunities into the business plans. You report directly to the Associate Director Category Development Management; and you have one Manager directly reporting to you.
This function offers you chances to learn more in soft drinks industry and see best practices in category development in FMCG. You will be challenged to solve the complex puzzle in Out of Home value chain of the Manufacturer, Wholesaler, Outlet and the shopper to make the category grow.
- Contribute to an inspiring category vision by identifying growth opportunities based on the available market and shopper insights.
- Embed the category vision in joint customer business plans with our strategic customers for long-term growth.
- Identify, develop and implement category development management projectsderived from joint business plans and objectives of the customers, such assortment optimization.
- Coach the Manager reporting to you and contribute to the further development of the department;
- University degree (Master)
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in FMCG sector, ideally in Out of Home or experience in management consulting
- Customer focused and quick to understand our customers’ needs
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player and work in harmony with internal and external counterparts
- Experience in project management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (In Dutch and English)
