The department Commercial Controlling NL is part of the Northern Europe Business Unit, which consists of six countries; the Netherlands, Belgium / Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden and Iceland. The NL department consists of three Business Controllers, two Marketing Controllers and one Revenue Growth Manager. The team is managed by the Associate Director Finance.
In this function you will report to the Senior Manager Marketing Finance and have a close cooperation with the Operational Marketing department and the European Group. Your responsibility will be:
- Planning & Control; translate marketing strategies into concrete financial information, scenarios and deliverables for the monthly forecast and the Annual Business Plan (ABP).
- Reporting; share forecast and other relevant financials with the Operational Marketing department in an organized and accurate way.
- Portfolio support; be a financial guide to the Brand and Portfolio team; provide support in composing Value Chains, financial KBI’s and reviews.
As our Junior Marketing Business Controller you will significantly contribute to our Finance Function Vision to “Be a valued business partner guiding strategic decisions, delivering superior customer service, and driving long-term profitable growth”.
As we operate in a matrix organization you are also collaborating with the Corporate Finance team, Shared Services organization, Supply Chain Finance, European Group and other teams.
Kwalificaties
Key responsibilities would include but, are not limited to:
- Support the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Closing process regarding Trade Marketing Expenses;
- Controlling and monitoring of the Trade Marketing Expenses;
- Report and review the Trade Marketing Expenses within the operational marketing organization;
- Development of tools and reporting to increase understanding of the profitability of brands and packages;
- Identify and assess relevant KBI's and prepare reports with the aim to account for their performance;
- Composing Value Chains of new product initiatives;
- Participate in different projects
To be successful in this role you need:
- Bachelor/ Master degree education in Accounting, business or finance
- 2-3 years of experience in relevant (comparable) role, preferably within FMCG
- Customer focused mind set and strong Business Partner skills
- Strong ownership with respect to the performance of the business
- Knowledge of / experience with SAP and advanced Excel/ PowerPoint skills
- Effective communication skills
- Analytic, pragmatic and a strong will to deliver
- Embracing and driving Change
- Proactive, positive, “can do” attitude;
- Fluent Dutch and English skills
