What you became part of

Coca-Cola Enterprises is now looking for a Junior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) fController or the Northern European Business Unit (NEBU). The main purpose of the FP&A/Ownership Cost Management department is to guide strategic decisions and to provide senior Management with financial insights and knowledge to shape and steer the execution of the business strategy in order to drive long-term profitable growth.

The FP&A Controller is responsible coordinating the NEBU Financial Planning & Control cycle; consolidating and analyzing the NEBU P&L statements / financial information / objectives during the Long Range Plan, Annual Business Plan and the monthly forecasting process.

What we expect of you

Business Partnering:

• Identify and address business partner needs. Maintain and enhance effective cross-functional business partnerships.

• Educate stakeholders in a manner that is appropriate and understandable to the audience. Challenge the business in a constructive way.

Identify opportunities to support financial aspects of proposed initiatives and projects. Challenge outcomes and communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

 

Analytical Thinking:

• Execute mitigation strategies and support the implementation of solutions to problems.

• Highlight trends and provide meaningful commentary from

financial report analyses and make recommendations to the business. Simplify information from multiple sources to make complex issues easily understandable.

 

Risk Management & Controls:

• Participate in the identification of risks for non-complex business issues. Assess the impact and likelihood of identified risks to achieving business objectives.

• Develop and implement mitigation plans to manage non-complex risks. Monitor the effectiveness of actions for individual business processes/areas and support as needed.

Develop reporting to support local management’s decision-making.

Assist in development and implementation of control guidelines and monitoring processes. Identify gaps in existing business processes and recommend improvements where needed.

• Co-ordinate and manage local responses to internal and external audit findings. Lead internal audit engagements. Provide advice and support to key stakeholders. Recommend and agree to corrective actions.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

• Master’s degree in economics or equivalent and 2-5 years of experience in a similar role

• Strong systems aptitude, experience in SAP BPC is an advantage

• Experience of working in a virtual team environment

• High level experience with financial modelling

• Demonstrated experience working within Finance and business partnering capabilities with functions outside of Finance. Solid business experience

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Advanced Excel/ PowerPoint knowledge

• Understanding of FMCG business (including key financial drivers and metrics) and dynamics of a public company operating in an international environment

• Awareness of financial accounting in the FMCG industry as well as interaction between Balance Sheet/P&L/Cashflow

• Organised and can cope well under time pressure, with the ability to meet deadlines

• You must be fluent in English, written and spoken and an additional European language would be advantageous.
