In this challenging position you will be part of the global Employee Relations Team (spread over GB, France, Nordics and Benelux). Employee Relations, as Center of Excellence, is part of the global HR organization of Coca-Cola Enterprises.
You will be based mainly in Rotterdam and Dongen, but will also be required to travel to our locations in Belgium.
The role reports into the Senior Manager Employee Relations, based in Brussels.
Responsibilities
As Interim Employee Relations Manager you will be responsible for the resolution of complex employee and manager inquiries. You will research each assigned issue, use case management tools to track the status and progress of employee and manager inquiries, and communicate with involved parties.
The inquiries will be related but not limited to escalated employee relations inquiries, field investigations, one-on-one coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
The ER Manager will collaborate with HR Business Partners, Legal, HR Services, Labor Relations and other Centers of Expertise as needed.
- Resolve complex employee relations inquiries and requests. These cases relate to Disciplinaries, Attendance Management, Performance, Capability, Bullying & Harassment and Change Management…
- Assume ownership for cases assigned and monitor the status and progress of escalated items in the case management system.
- Provide employee relations support to customers, ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues.
- Conduct or assist with investigations to resolve employment issues, recommend solutions and assist with facilitation of resolution.
- Use professional and customer-focused approach to handle customer inquiries. Ensure client privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive client reports or information. Ensure quality customer experience by communicating empathy to de-escalate difficult situations.
- Ensure actions are in compliance with Company policies and procedures and to local country employment law.
- Be responsible for reviewing and monitoring cases to identify trends, potential risk areas and development opportunities.
- Using the above information, you will work collaboratively with HRBP’s and BU Managers to implement training and coaching to improve manager and employee performance and engagement.
- Assist with outbound calls, process improvement, policy development, support work, knowledge base improvement suggestions, and peer coaching.
- Play a proactive role in European Employee relations projects.
- Master degree or equivalent (HR Science, Laws,..).
- 3+ years of related Human Resources and Employee Relations experience including conflict mediation and resolution, performance management, manager and employee coaching, attendance management, conduct management and investigations required.
- Strong case management & stakeholder management skills, and a pragmatic approach.
- Solid knowledge of country employment law of The Netherlands, good understanding of employment law in Belgium or Nordics (Norway and Sweden).
- Computer aptitude, accurate data entry, and the ability to effectively work in a Windows based environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills.
- Must work accurate and decisive, both independently and with a team.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
