We all know, that when winter comes around, there is nothing better, than to return home to a steaming bowl of soup, or a stampot with the family.  And when New Year’s day is upon us, who wouldn’t want to dive into the sea, dressed in little more than a bright orange Unox hat and gloves?  These delicious products, and our love of good food and winter is what has made the Unox brand so well loved and so iconic in Holland.
 
 
In the Savoury cluster, we are looking for a full time, Unox marketing intern to start as soon as possible, and be a part of building the legacy of this iconic brand with us, during a 6 month internship, in beautiful Rotterdam office on the Maas.

 

What can you expect from the marketing function?

The marketing function is responsible for all 6Ps. From crafting brand and category strategies, to thinking up new concepts and products, to designing new ranges and new packs, to managing activations you will see in your local supermarket, we are at the heart of crafting brands and excellent product experiences for our consumers.  
 
And the world is ever changing, tastes are globalising and the media landscape is constantly evolving.  As our consumers are using more and more digital media, we need to make sure that we are present and delivering engaging content in these emerging channels.   

 

What you can expect from your internship & what responsibilities will you have?

 

We can promise that you won’t get bored – as you will have 2 key areas of focus.
Firstly on step changing the way Unox uses digital – to keep our trophy cabinet full of awards (!) we need to radically step change the way we do digital marketing. We need to ensure our brand is omni-present in all digital channels, and offer a world class digital experience to our consumers. We need a digitially minded intern to help us on this journey. Your responsibilities will range from fixing the basics, to cooking up revolutionary ideas that will engage consumers.
Secondly supporting the soups team on executing the ambitious growth plans – this will include a range of activities, such as building activations at retailers, organising & participating in tasting sessions to benchmark our products, playing a key role in the packaging design process, analysing data on the core business areas.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a food loving, edgy, marketer, who understands the brand, and is hungry to build the brand digitally.  If you are creative, enthusiastic and are able to work independently and with other team members, as well as being strong in organisational and communication skills, please get in touch.  Qualification wise – digital experience and affinity with marketing is a must, as is speaking Dutch and English fluently.  Candidates should also have the ambition to build a longer term career in Unilever and eventually apply for the Unilever graduate trainee programme.
