We are Calco, leader in the Dutch market of IT secondment with over 500 employees. With our highly successful IT traineeship, the Calco MasterClass, we have helped over 1400 young professionals kickstart their career in IT. Because of this great success, we are now expandinginto the German market and looking for new talent.
As an account manager you fulfil a very diverse position. Your job is to find new clients for Calco in Germany who are in need of young and energetic IT personnel. You will be creating new business for our IT traineeship, the Calco MasterClass.
Your position is crucial for the successful expansion of Calco into the German market, as you will develop close relationships with future business partners.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
- Acquisition of new clients
- Maintaining close relationships with existing clients
- Maintaining and expanding your professional network
- On the long term: coaching of Calco’s trainees, who are positioned at your clients
We are looking for an account manager who is excited to take on a new challenge and who wants to help set up the first office and secure the first clients of Calco in Germany.
Requirements:
- You have a bachelor’s/master’s degree from an accredited university or the equivalent (Fachhochschule)
- You have approximately 2 to 5 years of working experience in sales/commerce
- You speak German and English fluently
- Creating new business energizes you
- Your communicative skills make it easy for you to make and maintain contact with potential and existing clients
- Experience in a secondment company and a broad, Germany-based network is preferred
- You are proactive and independent, but also take pride in including others in your work
- You don’t take no for an answer
- Taking on new challenges is what gets you out of bed in the morning
- You are familiar and knowledgeable with the German job market

Your home base will be the first office of Calco in Germany, which will be located in the centre of Frankfurt. However, you will often be travelling to various clients throughout Germany and occasionally to our headquarters in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
