Strategic Partner Development Manager, Enterprise (Special Projects), EMEA

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Armed with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

This is a unique opportunity to focus on driving customer success within the Enterprise market segment for an emerging product. As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with customers and strategic partners to determine the business impact of Google’s solutions. You will use consultative skills to understand our partners’ needs and deliver measurable solutions. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales and Operations, and Legal teams to develop partnership strategies, influence product vision and establish go-to-market plans. You will run the partnerships process from start to finish: opening doors with potential partners and customers, leading exploratory talks, building business models, getting consensus with senior executives and partnering directly to drive program adoption across verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with partners, build consensus with senior internal and external executives and present joint, industry-specific solutions to early-entry customers
  • Drive the success of customer deployments from idea to production
  • Develop and own strategic account plans and key executive relationships, including growth opportunities, action planning, day-to-day relationship, and business growth forecasting
  • Analyze trends and pilot program learnings, develop solid strategic go-to-market plans, and collaborate on preparation and delivery of strategic partner presentations and narratives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, legal, senior leadership) to execute projects and products. Develop work plans, lead analyses, and develop and communicate final recommendations.

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Sales/business development experience focused on the enterprise area
  • Experience with selling to enterprise customers
  • Experience working with independent software vendors (ISV) and value-added resellers (VAR)

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA degree or other advanced degree
  • Strong industry knowledge across multiple verticals (e.g. manufacturing, healthcare, energy, field service)
  • Proven track record of understanding and selling with partners, start-ups, with a passion for emerging business models, technology and Google’s products.
  • Proven ability to handle ambiguity, to work collaboratively with internal and partner contacts and to influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to develop strategic, creative solutions and present complex information to customers and colleagues in a clear and appealing manner and credibility at all levels
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with technical, contractual and financial issues as well as strong written and oral communication skills
