New Business Development Manager, Google Apps, Google for Work, Netherlands

On the Apps team, we help businesses, schools and organizations "go Google" by delivering our cloud-based Gmail, Calendar and Docs products. With Google Apps, they can work smarter and run their organizations more effectively. In this customer-oriented role, you'll develop a deep knowledge of Google products and work to troubleshoot technical challenges. You're a confident and poised communicator who will advocate for and champion the needs of our clients by bringing customer feedback to our Product and Engineering teams, and making sure our users have a great experience when using our products.

As a Google for Work New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for achieving new business goals within the Dutch market. Your main role will be to generate and create an effective pipeline of Google Apps products. You will be responsible for building account strategies and opportunity plans and managing the execution of complex engagements. You will work with cross-functional teams including Partners, Product Sales groups and Product Management to accelerate opportunities.

You will be bridging the gap between Google’s lead generating teams in Dublin and the onsite Google for Work team in the Netherlands. You will be working closely with the demand management team and will be executing on qualified leads locally.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute face-to-face meetings with key decision makers in mid-market and large organizations (CIO, COO, CFO, CEO) to create business opportunities.
  • Leverage Google sales engineering and marketing resources and provide input on current collateral materials and ideas on how to improve them.
  • Keep thorough records of customer interactions and provide quarterly projections on a weekly basis.
  • Manage and create an effective pipeline through contact with inbound and outbound lead generation teams in Dublin. Work closely with Google for Work Premier App Resellers.
  • Qualify and follow-up on inbound leads originating in our lead and demand management teams in Dublin, as well as driving outbound lead generation in close cooperation with outbound lead teams.

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience selling enterprise software and selling cloud computing platforms and services.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Dutch fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience selling enterprise software to mid-market and corporate enterprises as well as experience selling software as a service, collaboration, enterprise social or messaging products.
  • Experience tracking metrics and reporting in a matrix organization.
  • Strong track record in client SaaS/cloud software adoption.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and manage time-sensitive projects with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.
  • Goal oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently, but within a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally at C-level within prospect companies. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
