You'll manage the security staff who keep our Googlers safe and our world-class technologies and facilities secure. You'll collaborate with our Facilities Management team to create innovative security strategies, investigate breaches and create risk assessment plans for the future. You believe that providing effective security doesn't come at the expense of customer service - you will be our bodyguard (and our long lost pal).
As Data Center Security Manager, you will be in charge of managing vendors providing guard force services and maintaining close partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure working environment. You will be located in the Eemshaven Data Center, but will be responsible for security at other data center locations as well and will be required to travel.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement corporate security standards, policies and practices to make continual improvements and increase the effectiveness of the security program.
- Oversee management of security vendors providing guard force staffing. Conduct awareness training, risk assessments, and monitor local and regional issues that may affect Google data center business operations.
- Support and develop security controls during large scale construction projects.
- Deliver training on security topics, assist in the coordination of security services to support planned and unplanned operations, and support incident investigation efforts.
- Offer guidance and consultation to Facility and Operations Management.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing security operations in a corporate environment
- Experience conducting investigations including criminal, human resources, and safety incidents.
- Experience working around active construction sites and providing countermeasures to minimize loss.
- Deep knowledge and experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems, Security Operations Centers.
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
