A fantastic role has arisen for a Brand Manager Conimex.
Primary Location: Rotterdam De Brug / De Kade
The Conimex brand is one of Unilever’s so called Local Jewels and is a key brand within the Dutch Unilever business (8th brand of the company, 35th brand within Dutch retail). It’s the #1 brand within Asian Food in retail and operates in a growing market. Since 1932 Conimex brings Indonesian food to the Dutch and exports its products in over 17 countries.
As we are in the middle of a significant brand transformation to dial up our Indonesian authenticity and expertise as well as our taste credentials, we are looking for a candidate with extensive and proven knowledge of the Indonesian culture, its food and preferable Indonesian chef experience. He/she is a highly motivated marketeer with passion for creating brand love.
The Conimex team run their own Brand Building and Brand Development activities, is fully funded and has a strong team spirit centered around passion for food, for winning and for helping all Dutch to enjoy delicious, nutritious meals.
Responsibilities
- Champion the consumer needs and brand passion for real & contemporary Indonesian Food
- Drive advantage/conviction by building the overall Conimex brand authenticity/expertise and taste credentials though the 6p marketing mix on the whole portfolio
- Lead project teams that will grow the Conimex Brand through brand-driven activation, renovation and brilliant development and implementation of NPD platforms by working closely in cross functional teams

- Marketing team (Marketing director, Brand leader and Conimex Marketing team
- Multi-functional project teams (Company technical management, Legal, Communications. Third party manufacturing and procurement)
- Customer Development teams: Key Account Management and Category Management

Relevant experience
- Minimum 3 – 5 years relevant brand marketing experience in Brand Building/Development and/or Customer Development
- Proven knowledge of Indonesian food and indonesian Culture, and/or Chef experience
- Developing Concepts and Brand Communication
- Business planning and implementation experience as well as Project Management
