We are looking for a Market Insight Analyst with 3+ years of experience to provide strong Market Insight support to the European Regional Team based in Rotterdam .
This role is a step on a journey to understanding how the business works and developing business acumen. You will actively use the knowledge you gain to provide added value insights to the business. This is a European role and offers a great opportunity for an ambitious analyst to work in an exciting cross country, cross category regional role.
The CMI function’s mission is to show the business how and where to win. In this role you will contribute to delivering our mission by supporting a CMI manager in business partnering a marketing team.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
• To assist the senior manager in providing Market Insight Support within the Regional European team. The primary focus will be on the Foods and Refreshment category, but the successful candidate would also lead some key cross category initiatives;
• To inspire and to provoke the business to drive transformational actions through strong analytics;
• Data Analysis to provide solid understanding of how Unilever categories and brands are performing and most importantly, why;
• To keep a strong competitor focus. How are our competitors performing, why are our competitors out performing us or vice versa;
• To Provide recommendations to the business on how we can more effectively compete in our markets;
• To Interpret and communicate key findings/recommendations;
• Work closely with our agency partners (Nielsen, Kantar and Millward Brown) to provide regional category deep dives;
• To conduct and co-ordinate projects with the research suppliers and manage project within agreed budgets and timings;
• To help build capability of the Marketing team through training & coaching.
• University Degree or equivalent;
• Proven experience working with continuous research data - retail tracking, consumer panel , and Millward Brown Tracking data is essential;
• The successful candidate is likely to have experience of working in a market insight agency (Nielsen, TNS, IRI, GFK) or Market Insight team in a large FMCG company;
• Experience of working in a regional role and analysing cross country data would also be an advantage;
• Familiarity with using databases ( Nielsen Nitro, Tableau);
• Experience of merging data sources ;
• Advanced Excel skills;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal are needed to business partner senior leadership team;
• A positive attitude and can-do outlook.
