Trading Challenge
The Flow Traders Trading Challenge gives you the opportunity to understand our trading strategies. A senior trader will be presenting and analyzing real world examples of products and market strategies to help you understand more about trading. During the challenge you will compete against your team members for the best trades and therefor the highest personal revenue. Not only do you get the chance to show your problem solving and numerical skills but you will also get rewarded for your competitive attitude if you succeed and win the trading challenge. The most eager participants who match the Junior Trader profile will be added to the Flow Traders Talent Pool. Members of the Talent Pool will be invited for Flow Traders Student activities during the academic year. After the challenge there will be a lunch where you will meet our Traders and have the opportunity to ask all of your questions concerning the Junior Trader position and Flow Traders.

How did you become a Flow Trader?
I came into contact with Flow Traders at a recruitment event in Amsterdam.
How long have you been part of the team?
Since September 2014.
What depicts a typical Flow Trader?
There is no such thing as a typical Flow Trader. Though many of us are very competitive. We have the drive to always win and keep challenging each other. We stay sharp.
What makes you happy?
I always want to be the best at anything I do. Right now I want to excel in my work. Previously it was online poker and before that, sports.
What keeps you awake at night?
I do not have any difficulties falling asleep. Maybe only after a night out, getting an early night’s sleep on Sunday.
Sunday morning?
Hung over.
Anything you would bring to a desert island?
I would hope there are some ladies present? Since stuffing them into my suitcase might not be the best idea.
What do you have lying on your bedside table?
My mobile phone.
Which music is currently blasting through your speakers?
De jeugd van tegenwoordig.
Do you have any plans for the future?
Improving my skills at Flow Traders, continue to grow. Maybe even getting my own desk.
What was the last time you laughed out loud?
This morning. A newbie accidently bought something instead of selling it, by using the left instead of the right mouse click. Jacco’s instantly reaction was, ‘Luckily you can get coffee, using both hands.’ It is tradition that he who screws up will get everyone a cup of coffee.
