ANWB
As an AWS Software Engineer you step in at a perfect time. ANWB is in the process of transitioning to a modern cloud environment and we are connecting to this from 'Leden & Realties'. Work from The Hague under domain-driven architecture on the membership administration of the future and make an impact on our services of tomorrow!
Jouw rol
You are a driven, eager-to-learn Software Engineer with analytical thinking skills and relevant experience, who knows exactly what is needed to create efficient cloud data integration solutions. You stay up-to-date with the latest developments and prefer thinking in solutions rather than problems. A flexible and innovative team player, you strive for the best for yourself, your colleagues, and our members. You are not afraid to ask questions or provide feedback, and you help your colleagues think beyond the boundaries of their own roles. Within the team, you naturally take responsibility as if you were running your own business. Working Agile/DevOps is second nature to you, and you have a natural drive to automate processes in order to keep operational workload (Ops) under control. You see working with modern tools, cloud solutions, and technology as a challenge. Of course, your command of both Dutch and English is strong, as are your communication, social, and presentation skills.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing software based on business criteria, which you can translate into (solution) architecture, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Setting up and configuring cloud infrastructure (SaaS and AWS) to ensure it is properly configured, allowing us to improve our financial services for our members.
- Exploring and applying the latest integration concepts and serverless technologies on AWS, and being able to present these both orally and in writing.
- Elevating cloud technology within ANWB to the next level, together with a relatively new team.
Setting up and improving continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and test automation processes.

You will work within ANWB 'Leden & Relaties'. Here, several DevOps teams work on the development of Amazon Web Services. We cannot yet say exactly which team you will be working in. We would like to look at who you are and what you can do and work with you to determine which team you fit best in. What can we say in advance? Many teams are still in the making. This means that there is still a lot to discover and we learn from each other every day. The basis is there. Now it's up to you and your colleagues to experiment with cloud technology and create a team spirit together.
No matter who you work with: everyone is accessible, eager to learn and makes you feel at home quickly. Whether we work in the office or from home: we connect with each other and are always ready to help each other. A few teams are also quite international. Being proud of what we do is in the ANWB's DNA. Together we work hard to grow IT within the ANWB.
