The right combination of strategic, commercial and operational insight is essential to identify and realize the value of a transaction and is therefore a crucial element of the M&A process. Next to the KPMG Strategy Group, which focuses on advising private equity and corporate clients on strategic and commercial areas before and during a transaction, we have a specialized team that advises clients in the area of integration and separation issues.
As a component of a worldwide network of over 3,000 transaction specialists in 150 countries we are capable to advise and support international businesses with all transactions. The Deal Advisory practice in the Netherlands consists of approximately 100 individuals that are involved with around 250 transaction per year. In connection with the growth of our team we are looking for expansion on the level of Executive.
Your work will consist of advising clients in the area of integration and separation issues around mergers and acquisitions in both the pre-deal as well as post-deal phase. You will work within different workstreams (e.g. sales, finance, IT, supply chain, etc.) within the integration and separation project. Your work forms the basis for the writing and execution of the integration and separation plan. This work consists of analyses, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and the creation of financial models and slides. Moreover, you identify and quantify your areas of improvement and support your client with the identification and problem solving of important separation and integration issues. On top of that you advise and support the project/engagement manager to bring the entire integration/separation project to a successful end.
Your work will vary from assisting in setting up strategic business cases, synergy reviews and evaluations to performing operational risk analyses, preparing carve out financials and setting up strategic integration plans to supporting extensive, multidisciplinary integration/separation projects and 100 day plans.

- You have completed a university degree, preferably in business, business economics, or other sciences.
- You are able to address complex strategic and operational issues within a short time frame.
- You are prepared to follow internal and external training courses and are willing to execute projects abroad.
- You are analytical, result driven, and your like to work pragmatically.
- You highly value delivering high quality work and you have a strong personality.
- Of course, you like to work in a team and have a good sense of humor.
- English is required and Dutch is preferred. Other languages are an advantage.
