The Global Tax & Legal Senior Analyst serves as an integral member of the Methods & Tools (M&T) team and is responsible for the coordination of assigned components of service delivery models (business processes, tools, technologies or talent model development initiatives) for the global tax & legal function as required.  The incumbent actively develops processes, coordinates tool development and ensures that all deliverables comply with Deloitte standards and guidelines.

In this role you will be assigned to support operational activities in one or more M&T offerings.

Responsibilities

Role Specific Responsibilities

Service Delivery Model Development

  • Conduct business process modeling , assist in identifying supporting tools, technologies and talent models and coordinate development as required
  • Ensure compliance with development framework and guidelines
  • Coordinate deployment activities as assigned
  • Provide improvement recommendations for process guidelines and frameworks to enable consistency across projects
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for process and tool usage and helpdesk reporting
  • Support operational activities of M&T team

 

Program/Project Management

  • Understand Project Management discipline and apply its principles
  • Assess project scope; review and provide input to estimates based on scope
  • Monitor, track progress, and report status on assigned project tasks, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate task assignments and provide direction to Analysts

 

People Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with Methods & Tools team's stakeholders
  • Provide input into performance reviews of Analysts

 

Knowledge Sharing / Documentation

  • Define deliverable structure and content
  • Develop and maintain guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Provide assistance in responding to information requests
  • Assist with on-boarding and training of Analysts
  • Support development and continuous improvement of processes and tools
Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelors’ degree in a Business related discipline

    Years of Experience:  

    • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a project coordination/business analysis role.
    • Working in the global and virtual environment (preferred)

    Technical Skills

    • Experience in a consulting role (either internal role or external client facing position) is a plus
    • Strong technical aptitude in MS Office and SharePoint, with proven ability for learning new software applications (such as mobile or social media).
    • Overall tax & legal knowledge a plus
