Associate Director, Learning & Development Commercial Capability
Job Purpose
This will see you manage a Pan-European team across the different commercial territories. The purpose of the role is to provide the learning needed to meet current and future individual and business goals. You will be responsible for employee development and for planning, designing and delivering training programs that make the best use of employee's current and future abilities.
Accountabilities
· Serve as part of the Organizational Capability Centre of Expertise leadership team, the L&D leadership team and the L&D Governance Committee with accountability for:
· Implementing the organization’s training and development strategy (70-20-10) so that the skills and performance of employees meet the organization’s current and future needs
· Setting the vision and strategy for establishing a qualitative and cost-effective L&D function, making optimal use of state-of-the art technology and development methods
· Ensuring the current L&D department's processes, routines and habits are transformed from a training mindset to a performance consulting / talent-driven learning mindset focused on adding value to our customers
· Ensuring development needs are met using a variety of L&D methods and principles always securing an optimal cost-quality ratio
· Establishing a productive, efficient working relationship with the other L&D leaders - co-creating a high-performing L&D Leadership Team
· Analyzing and identifying the training and development needs of the organization and its employees and developing an overall training plan to meet the current and planned human resource requirements of the organization
· Developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs and curriculum so that the know-how, skills, and performance of employees meet the organization’s current and future requirements
· Selecting, and managing ongoing relationships with, external consultants and training providers to ensure that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
· Keeping up-to-date on developments and innovations in training and education in industry and government education sectors so that the organization’s training activities remain current and relevant
· Leading, directing, evaluating, and developing a team of training professionals to ensure that the organization’s training and development strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets
· Establishing strong working relationships with HR Business Partners and Business Leadership, with a focus on continually identifying short and long term value-adding development needs
- L&D Experience in a changing environment required - experience in managing L&D and change in matrix organisations
· Demonstrated experience in running an L&D department focused on performance consulting (from training delivery to performance consulting / talent-driven learning)
· Proven ability to provide direction to the team and sell the vision to internal stakeholders
· Experience in developing and delivering successful L&D curricula in their domain
· Strong influencing and communication skills
· Works in a highly collaborative manner, putting the customer front and center
· Track record of successfully working in a multi-cultural environment and managing a team across geographies
· Work experience in any industry sector is acceptable; FMCG experience is preferred
· Strong business acumen and well developed analytical skills are required
· Proven experience in budget and data management
· Fluent in English, another European language is highly appreciated
