Your challenge

Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we’re looking for?

Within Philips Talent Acquisition (TA) we are responsible to attract and select the highest quality talent through knowing our labor market, implementing innovative attraction strategies and building collaborative customer partnerships. Part of the TA team is the Graduate Recruitment team. Your challenge will be to handle all internship requests provided by the different business within Philips Netherlands.

Your responsibilities

  • Accept the incoming Internship requests from our internal customers.
  • Accept and manage the administrative issues of the incoming Internship vacancies.
  • Manage the Internship positions and communication towards students and the business.
  • Validate the text and check on explanation of abbreviations
  • Post the internship position on the Philips Careers internet website and other channels like, Facebook and LinkedIN
  • Pre-screen all incoming cover letters and resumes of the students with regard to hard criteria of the vacancy
  • Determine by terms of the profile requirements of the TA customers to forward the details of the student
  • Reject students in Taleo
  • Remove Internship positions from the Philips Careers internet website if they are filled/canceled

Your team

The Philips Talent Acquisition department is part of the Global Talent Acquisition (Group HRM) and is based in Eindhoven, Best, Amsterdam and Drachten. The Talent Acquisition team exists of about 80 people divided in 7 teams. (Marketing Communication, Sourcing, Operations, Lighting, Consumer Lifestyle, Healthcare and Graduate Recruitment)

You will be placed into the Graduate Recruitment team which currently exists of 5 people. You will be based in Eindhoven.

You will report to the Manager of the graduate recruitment team and your indirect report will be to the Internship Coordinator.

Our offer

When accepting this internship, it will give you an insight of all business needs regarding graduate recruitment. Besides your daily responsibilities towards the internship program you will learn about graduate recruitment during your internship period.

  • This internship assignment is not suitable to do your graduation/thesis
  • Duration: 5-6 months
  • We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, but not later than August/September 2014

Internship conditions:

  1. Students on work placement or final-year study assignment are paid a work placement or final-year study assignment allowance.
  2. A student on a work placement or final-year study assignment is paid an allowance towards rented accommodation, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
  3. A student on work placement or final-year study assignment who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline.
  4. The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
  5. Opportunity to buy Philips products with tax benefit (Philips MyShop)

We are looking for

To be successful in this internship we are looking for you:

  • Currently studying towards your Bachelor HBO  / Bachelor of Science/Master of science WO (Bsc./Msc.) in:
    • Business Administration (with an interest in Human Resources)
    • Human Resources


  • Are fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written)
  • Are accurate, structured and able to communicate in a clear and decisive way
  • Are a team player
  • Are good in planning and organization
  • Are above all enthusiastic with a “can do”  mentality
  • Possess a high standard regarding the quality of the internship procedure
  • Previous internship experience within the same field is appreciated but not required
