You will assist the team to further expand the Secured Inventory Products (SIP) Icestar product which we offer to a broad range of (commodity) clients. Basically, this involves the bank taking ownership of the physical goods, whilst simultaneously setting up an “exit route”, i.e. an opportunity to dispose of ownership (exchange or client). You will be part of the day-to-day activities. These activities are amongst others: prepare client pitches, preparing proposals/management information and marketing presentations, client calls (worldwide; following the Commodity clients), cooperating with the commodity brokers of ABN AMRO, assisting in further developing SIP-Icestar (a/o back office system, policy papers, streamlining processes, yearly review, execution of business plan) and analysing markets.
You will be part of the Commodities Clients Icestar department based in Amsterdam. The Amsterdam desk consists of a 3 FTE front office. Furthermore we assist our Asia (Singapore) and (north) America (New York) desk. Together with the middle-office (C&CM), legal and ABN AMRO Brokerage, the front office team is working on the day-to-day operations for Icestar.
You are an enthousiastic and flexible person with a pro-active working attitude. You are fun to work with. You have the analytical skills together with an eye for detail and the ability to quickly understand complex transactions which fit the client’s needs while maintaining a modest/low risk profile for the Bank. You are available for at least 6 months in a row / 40 hours a week.
