Senior DataOps Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DataOps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing data solutions within the Azure ecosystem, with hands-on expertise in Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks. This role requires a deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data transformation using SQL and PySpark, and automation through Python scripting.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leveraging your strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Databricks to build and manage scalable data solutions.
• Designing and implementing robust ETL/ELT workflows based on best practices.
• Performing data transformation and validation using advanced SQL and PySpark techniques.
• Automating data processes and scripting tasks using Python.
• Applying DevOps principles, including CI/CD workflows and source control management (preferably with Azure DevOps).
• Supporting data visualization and reporting through tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ensuring high data quality through meticulous problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Communicating effectively with technical and business teams, and maintaining clear documentation.
• Applying strong domain knowledge of asset management operations, particularly in areas such as securities, holdings, benchmarks, and pricing.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

• Experience in DataOps or Data Engineering roles
• Proven expertise in managing and troubleshooting data workflows within the Azure ecosystem
• Azure Databricks: Experience in data transformation and processing using notebooks and Spark.
• Azure Data Lake: Experience working with hierarchical data storage in Data Lake.
• Azure Synapse: Familiarity with distributed data querying and data warehousing.
• Azure Data factory: Hands-on experience in orchestrating and monitoring data pipelines.
• ETL Process Understanding: Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows, including data cleansing, mapping, and integration techniques.
