Inbound Logistics Engineer/Supervisor
40 hours per week in Venlo
What You’ll Do
In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and execution of the operational activities of the internal logistics organization. You need to be able to keep a very safe workplace for the staff, lead by example on the floor and are the first contact to trouble shoot and support in system and process issues. Lean manufacturing is the key word of this important responsibility, as well as capacity planning for your staff of approx. 15 logistic operators and administrators. These logistic operators and administrators make sure our assembly line is being supplied with the right products on the right moments. Next they make sure our inventory and warehouse processes are seamless integrated in our assembly line.
Furthermore, You’ll be responsible for:
- setting up the short and mid-term staffing plans and monitoring the continuity, so that operation flows smoothly
- take care of problems, discuss it with the involved parties and solve them correctly, by using modern means and methods to come to a fast and efficient solution
- Educate and train the admin staff to improve the way of working and processes.
- have an eye for critical situations in the factory environment and keep Health and Safety standards at industry levels. Zero incidents is our main goal and the highest priority
- coach and motivate your team to achieve the set goals and targets
- signal improvements, translate them into efficient proposals and implement them via working methods as LEAN manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S, participate in 8Ds where applicable
- you are responsible for the annual Human Resource cycles of Canon which is to generate the task settings of your staff, the development talks of your team and at the end of the year the performance reviews of each individual.
- you discuss with other Operations Supervisors new team members and organize a needed staff level for the orders in manufacturing and logistics
The location is based in Venlo, you report directly to the SCM manager inbound.

What You Bring
- you have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in a supply chain or technical direction
- approximately 5 years of experience of which preferable 2 years in a supervisor position in a warehouse of production role
- strong leadership skills
- proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experienced with SAP (WM/MM) processes
- experience in working and acting on Key Performance Indicators
- strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
- fulltime (40 hours) available (on site)

Hoewel exacte cijfers ontbreken, ligt het startsalaris bij Canon Production Printing doorgaans in de bandbreedte van: €2.800 tot €3.200 bruto per maand voor hbo/wo starters. Daarbij komen vaak secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden zoals: 13e maand, reiskostenvergoeding, pensioenregeling, mogelijk winstdeling of bonus. Salarisgroei hangt samen met je prestaties, doorgroei naar een volgende functie, en cao-afspraken.
