Geotechnical Engineer

Cofra BV is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer in Amsterdam. We are seeking both junior and medior candidates to strengthen our team. Cofra BV, a subsidiary of maritime service provider Boskalis, specializes in ground improvement techniques, including design, execution, and development of new methods. We operate a modern production facility producing approximately 40 million meters of MebraDrain annually and serve various Boskalis divisions as well as large and small contractors nationally and internationally. What you will do as a Geotechnical Engineer

• Execute designs for our products and be responsible for the geotechnical guidance during execution.
• Perform general tasks such as writing/checking method statements, and guiding field tests and soil investigations.
• Be prepared to travel abroad for short or extended periods to provide geotechnical guidance for our ground improvement projects, in addition to office work in the Netherlands.
• Support project and tender teams with geotechnical advice.

What you bring

You can make a difference as a Geotechnical Engineer if you bring the following:

• A higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or earth sciences.
• Good communication skills and excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to switch between different projects.
• A valid driver's license (B).
• Experience with MS Office.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will work with approximately 40 colleagues from the Cofra BV office in Amsterdam. It's a fun and diverse team where we work hard, but also have plenty of room for enjoyment and camaraderie.

Full-time/part-time: This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. You will report to and work closely with the Head of Geotechnics at Cofra BV.
