Unilever Benelux Out of Home delivers a significant part of the Unilever turnover and profitability. The most important brands are OLA, Ben & Jerry’s, Cup-a-Soup, Lipton Ice Tea, Carte d'Or, Swirl's and BiFi. Unilever OOH has an ambitious target to realize double digit growth for the next five years.
Unilever OOH is divided into three main channels: Companies and Institutions, On the Go and Horeca & Recreatie. Every channel has its own multidisciplinary channel team. The channel manager is in the lead of this team although has no direct reporting lines. The team is based on a matrix structure. The channel managers are part of the channel marketing team and report to the marketing manager OOH, who is a member of the Management Team Out of Home. Each Channel manager is also in the lead for a specific category. The channel manager represents Out Home in the Business execution teams for this category.
The Channel manager has an intern who will give support on an every day basis. This can be, but is not necessarily part of, an university thesis study.
