Internship Unilever OOH – Horeca - Lipton Ice Tea

Unilever Benelux Out of Home delivers a significant part of the Unilever turnover and profitability. The most important brands are OLA, Ben & Jerry’s, Cup-a-Soup, Lipton Ice Tea, Carte d'Or, Swirl's and BiFi. Unilever OOH has an ambitious target to realize double digit growth for the next five years.

Unilever OOH is divided into three main channels: Companies and Institutions, On the Go and Horeca &  Recreatie. Every channel has its own multidisciplinary channel team. The channel manager is in the lead of this team although has no direct reporting lines. The team is based on a matrix structure. The channel managers are part of the channel marketing team and report to the marketing manager OOH, who is a member of the Management Team Out of Home. Each Channel manager is also in the lead for a specific category. The channel manager represents Out Home in the Business execution teams for this category.

The Channel manager has an intern who will give support on an every day basis. This can be, but is not necessarily part of, an university thesis study.

Learn how to develop and implement a cross category H&R channel plan in order to achieve the Unilever OOH targets.

Learn how to develop & Implement new Ice cream concepts

Main tasks:

  • Learn and help to develop and implement a cross category H&R Channel plan for the OOH with a focus on Lipton Ice Tea (Sparkling, Regular, Zero) portfolio.
  • Learn and help to build our brand Lipton Ice Tea through customers with world class activation
  • Learn and help to roll out new initiatives/innovations
  • Gather and leverage consumer and customer insights
  • Develop sales argumentation for account management, trade and field force.
  • Learn to develop and implement 360 customer communication strategy (trade communication, fairs, internet etc.)
  • Develop sales and marketing tools in OOH marketplace (promotions, Point of Sale materials)
  • Participate in yearly Key Account Business Reviews and annual plans at customers.
  • Monitor Channel performance  on a regular basis, incl. competition strategy and actions
  • Product launch management: support new product introduction for listing, set net net price for sales, follow up distribution of new products after launch and get concrete agreement & commitment on distribution targets account management
  • Execute brand standards(brand DNA) and support development and execution of channel specific brand standard
  • Help to develop field force plan: ensure product availability and visibility, category information & activation (NL only)
